HERE is a group of citizens who have come together to develop and sponsor a program of community response to the shootings that took place on April 16 on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Our mission is to create safe, sensitive, and diverse opportunities for our community's processing and healing. The events and gatherings to begin this community experience are consistent with our belief that coming together to share and listen to our community stories will help build the road toward a better future, for us as individuals and as a community.

Funds for these events come from the April 17 Fund at the Community Foundation and from Episcopal Relief and Development. Contributions may be made to the fund at the Community Foundation.
